Bali Global Ashram Foundation joins with Suly Resort & Spa - Ubud in developing Balinese Traditional Art. The foundation is located in the midst of three centers of art "Mas - Peliatan - Ubud". It is our honor to introduce the Balinese Traditional Arts to all visitors who wish to know and learn more about Balinese Art & Culture. Our activities will be guided by a professional & famous instructor supported by greenery surrounded by beautiful lush paddy terrace and places of interest at Yayasan Bali Global - Suly Resort & Spa, Ubud.

06:00 am : Early Market Tour Sukawati Market
08:00 am : Visit the Balinese traditional house and kitchen at Batuan village, a place of unique sights. Going to the nearest traditional market for vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, etc. The guide will explain the food and spices and the way of selling and bargaining price, and interaction of the people in the market.
09:00 am : Tea/Coffee Break
09:30 am : Cooking Class. Our Cook will guide you and give you a hands-on lesson.  Items to be prepared: Skewer Spicy Chicken, Skewer Spicy Fish, Spicy Fish Fillet in Banana Leaf.
12:00 am : : LUNCHEON! Enjoy your own "Bali Bungkus."  Enjoy what you just prepared.

Get out and stretch your legs and experience the Bali that cannot be seen by car or motorbike.  These tours are an amazing way to experience Ubud with all of your senses.

bali dance Balinese Dancing  

Dance is a central part of Balinese worship and celebration.  You will learn the key movements of various Balinese dances, starting with the Welcome Dance, “Panyembrahma” and the Warrior Dance, “Baris”.   The class is held in the beautiful performance area of the Heritage Village Gardens.  It is a great opportunity to learn, laugh, and create lasting memories.

canang Temple Offering (Canang Sari)  

While in Bali, you will see these offerings everywhere.  These are an intrinsic part of daily life in Bali because there is always a festival or celebration to prepare for. In this workshop, you will make offerings with a unique palm carving, fruits, Balinese cakes and flowers.

canang Ceramic Making   

Learn to create bowls, candle placements, vases, or plates in this amazing class taught by a sweet elderly Balinese woman with traditional skills.  She will teach you her methods to work with the traditional clay, and her spirit will touch your heart.

canang Woodcarving

A Balinese woodcarving class gives you a great opportunity to create a special souvenir of your trip to Bali.  You teacher will guide you through the techniques and philosophy of Balinese traditional woodcarving.  You will be able to create a statue or a signboard, developing your creativity and skills.

Kites are a very important part of Balinese culture and tradition.  During the summer months, many kites, big and small, dot the skies in Bali.  Now is your chance to learn how to make one of these beautiful kites.
